According to various sources, the lists of buses and drivers became the target of the attackers. However, software for scheduling and payroll of the company's employees suffered from the attack. It has not yet been possible to find out who is behind the cyberattack.
The company now says that the incident had no impact on UK or international rail traffic and that all possible measures have already been taken to prevent such cyberattacks.
Go-Ahead has hired third-party experts and continues to investigate what happened, implementing its plans for responding to cyber incidents. In addition, the company notified the British law enforcement authorities about the situation.
It is worth noting that the Go-Ahead Group is London's largest bus carrier and operates the Govia Thameslink Railway as part of a joint project with Keolis.
